“It” Girl
Twiggy, Marylin Monroe, Edie Sedgwick are primary examples of what is considered “it" girls of their time. This shoot was inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s style and poise. But, the qualities of what an “it” girl should be (strong, empowering, happy, proud) today are presented.

This look is heavily inspired by the YSL Smoking Jacket. ‘Le Smoking Tuxedo’ in 1966 was a turning point for fashion and for women. For the first time, they were able to wear something a bit more, ‘masculine’ for its time.

Through time, the movie Grease has a reputation of sparking some conspiracy theories. These images are channeling that duality which theorists believe is true. They explain how Sandy when in the beach that one summer. “drowned.” Thus, why everything is like a dream, the end being her and Danny blasting off into the sky. Heaven maybe? We will never know.
